In 1933, Fletcher and Munson proved that human hearing is not flat. At low volumes, bass and treble vanish. Every receiver ships with this problem. Munson Curve compensates in real time — bass, treble, and subwoofer adjusted independently as volume changes, grounded in ISO 226:2003 equal-loudness contours.
